Summer gardening...
So far, taking photos (almost) everyday since my birthday in June hasn't been too hard, the weather has been nice, my garden is blooming, there was Pride month and my work with the HH & OC community garden.
I've been going to the community garden on Wednesday evenings. It's a two hour shift and the time flies by - there's plenty to do, spread mulch, weed, tie up tomatoes etc. So there were two of us tonight and a third showed up a bit later and helped weed.
I think that I will never stop being amazed at the whole plant this little seed and look was grows out of it process. Our pumpkin plants have grown gigantic in two weeks. The tomatoes have a ton of flowers on them. We've picked radishes, lettuce and now zucchini.
So we have yellow squash planted by the zucchini and as I was looking around I spied this:
Yeah us!! Baby squash!! Now we need some rain and we will be set. So far we've been blessed with rain when the garden has needed it.
This garden is amazing - if you are local and want to check it out, leave me a comment and I'll direct you there.
