She is a Goddess...
Tonight, the wife & I went to one of the most amazing birthday parties I have ever been to! The amount of love in the room was almost overwhelming. Many ages were represented and people from all walks of life where in one room to help celebrate an amazing, beautiful woman.
Gloria is someone a lot of us in that room look up to, her humor, compassion and work in the community are unmatched. She turned 90 yesterday and is extremely youthful in spirit. This was her party and as I stated during one moment tonight, she has been a champion for many of us. I have been honored to perform the Vagina Monologues with her and another friend Beth.

I can't begin to tell you how uplifting this evening was, but I know that many others felt the same way. Happy Birthday Gloria!

That woman is 90??? I hope that I have as much joy & energy when I'm her age. Happy birthday to her!
ReplyDeleteYes she is! Just turned 90 on Friday. In honor of that she got 7 stars tattooed on her arm in honor of her children (& to match her goddess one). We are so blessed to have her in our lives and to be able to call her friend. She threw herself a 3 hour party (with the help of some other friends) and kept right on going after it was over. She is amazing.
